Recite the Holy Quran

In the Name of Allâh, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Take the opportunity of this holy month of Ramadhan to increase our amal. One way is by reciting the holy Quran. If you want to finish reciting the Quran during Ramadhan, follow this advise; Recite 4 pages around the time of each fard solah (before or after). With this, insyaAllah you could finish approximately one juz' of Quran a day and by the end of Ramadhan, you would finish reciting the whole 30 juz' of Quran. Just keep consistent (istiqamah) and if you miss to recite at any particular time, cover the missed recitation (double up the pages) at any other time, after performing the tarawih, before going to bed or whenever you're free or even on the next day.

May Allah give us taufiq to perform this and covey it to others, amin.

Salam Ramadhan

I'm Hungry~~

Hungry? Head to the nearest McDonald's restaurant in your area and order some meals. But instead of ordering like you would normally do, how about sing it in your favourite tune? Like those guys in this video;

Nice~~!! But if you feel to do the same, be mindful not to overact, to avoid others behind the queue from getting pissed (^_^);

Eating at McDonald's?

If you buy any McDonald's meals, you would find a nutrition information on the packaging of that meal. It's a simple chart, yet I found it very informative and helpful. For example, let's have a look on Big Mac;

The nutrition value for the Big Mac as found on McDonald's Malaysia's site, are as below:

So what's so informative and helpful with this chart? It's the %RNI or Recommended Nutrient Intake. Basically it tells us the percentage of nutrient found on that serving base on the RNI for Malaysian. In other word, for an average adult, if you take a serving of Big Mac, you already consumed 41% and 45% of your daily needed fat and salt respectively.

My two cent, you should limit your intake of Big Mac (and some other McDonald's burgers) to just one per day. Should you want to eat more than one meal at McDonald’s, you should check the nutritional values first and vary your meals. For example, a combination of Cheeseburger and Beefburger only contains 33% fat (as compared to a single Big Mac).
